Cristina Cuomo gives update on husband Chris’ coronavirus condition

Coronavirus-stricken Chris Cuomo is doing “slightly better,” his wife said on Monday, as she detailed his all-natural treatment plan.

Cristina Cuomo said her CNN-host hubby still feels “incredible lethargy” but his fever has been down for the past three days, his oxygen levels were normal all week and an X-ray of his lungs on Sunday was clear.

“He has maintained his sense of taste and smell, but not his usual hearty Italian appetite,” Cristina, 50, wrote in an Instagram post.

Since announcing his diagnosis last Tuesday, Chris, 49, has said he’s lost 13 pounds and that his fever at one time was so extreme, he chipped a tooth while shivering.

In the last week, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s brother experienced symptoms including high fever, chills, body aches and exhaustion, his wife said.

To help with managing the illness, Cristina, a magazine editor, enlisted the help of Dr. Linda Lancaster, who specializes in alternative medicine, such as the practice of Ayurveda.

“Since this particular virus has no proven remedy… she assigned oxygenated herbs, natural remedies and homeopathics to boost Chris’ immune system for the battle ahead,” Cristina wrote.

As for food, Cristina said she put her hubby on a diet of whole, organic meals, like chicken soup and dishes low in chemicals.

Chris also made sure to get 30 minutes of sunshine daily and sat in a home sauna, in addition to doing breathing exercises and getting some walking in, his wife said.

He’s continued to broadcast his CNN show from his basement.

“Thank you for amazing homemade goodies from friends and the outpouring of love + humor so many of you have provided,” Cristina wrote in her post. “They are the oxygen for these biblical times.”

The couple were married in 2001 and have three children.
