Two firefighters injured battling blaze at storage facility

Two firefighters were injured battling a three-alarm fire at a Bronx storage facility Sunday, officials said.

The blaze started at Tuck-It-Away Self Storage warehouse on Walton Avenue near the Major Deegan Expressway in Mott Haven around 12:15 a.m., prompting roughly 140 firefighters to respond.

The fire engulfed the building’s second and third floors, sending huge plumes of smoke billowing into the air for the entire morning.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the flames, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
