Rutgers welcomed the Dalai Lama, an internationally respected advocate of peace, to deliver the public lecture “Peace, War, and Reconciliation” on Sunday, September 25, 2005, at Rutgers Stadium.

The visit of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, winner of the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize, was the keynote event in a semester focusing on issues related to conflict and moral obligation.
